Marga here! I am a Creative Director that loves Design and a Designer that loves Creative Direction. I am a visual communicator. Education, culture, social change, and social awareness are my favorite things to work on.

I love working on creative projects and love to have fun when I work. I have worked for advertising agencies, non-profit organizations, cultural institutions, schools, and even a record label. You name it, I have done it. From packaged goods to pharma, from politics to pedagogy.

I’m at my best when I’m leading a team. I love the creative process from idea inception to post production. I like to inspire, collaborate, and work with others who think differently than me. Two or more heads are always better than one.

I have managed in-house and agency teams. Working for many brands, in many different media projects, and with many budgets have confirmed I’m really good at switching gears.

Even though I am a visual person, I love marrying words to images. And I can do it in both English and in Spanish. Straddling two cultures makes my life and my work so much richer.

I keep learning. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Complutense University in Madrid. I studied Design at SVA with Milton Glaser and David Carson. I am working on my MBA from Berlin School of Creativity. My next project: to learn how to sew.

In my spare time, I teach Advertising Copywriting at City College of New York, one of the most diverse campuses in the United States. But what I really do there, it’s to learn how to inspire, guide and lead the students to think for themselves. I teach them to think outside the box, inside the box, recycle the box, use a new box, and get rid of anything they don't need.

I live in Brooklyn with my husband Barry, my teenager son Leo, and our two recently adopted cats, Mimi and Moses. I can’t wait for COVID to be gone and have people over again, host sambas, and cook for all our friends. And I can’t wait to help you design something better.
